On the last day of closed beta, Oct. 29, 2004, Alliance and Horde had a huge PvP battle.
First Alliance started attacking the town of Tauren Mill, and all the Horde players went to defend.
Then Horde retaliated by attacking the town of South Shore.
Finally, the last battle, Alliance massed their players outside the capitol undead city, Undercity, on the outer sewer entrance.
Horde grouped their masses for their defense and stood in the sewers awaiting the slaughter.
Alliance had 3x the players but the Horde regined supreme and slaughtered the Alliance to death.
The Horde won!
